So as I said, I'm a filmmaker and my next few films incorporate some gas masks as props in them. My most important upcoming film is a police siege film. I'm going to purchase some S-10 gas masks, so I'd also appreciate some comments and tips/tricks on them, but my real concern is buying a filter that could have negative effects. I'M NOT USING THESE TO ACTUALLY FILTER OUT DANGEROUS CHEMICALS. I just want to find filters for these masks that will be absolutely safe to breath through even when expired, if possible, and especially don't contain chromium, asbestos, or anything else that could be dangerous if the filter is broken/damaged/expired. If I have to paint them, fine. If only there were canisters or filters without anything in them for props and easy breathing. I've done quite a bit of research, but I'm prone to anxiety and I would really appreciate some reassurance of a kind and links to the correct, safe filters.
Here's a picture of what I'm trying to show off prop wise:

Thanks for any responses and I hope there's a safe way,
Maverick
By the way, I'm planning on trying to participate on this forum as I become more knowledgable. :D
