No, it's not a normalized thread, it's STANAG! The thread on this filter is NOT made to fit in both GOST and STANAG threads, and it won't seal with a GOST thread more than any other STANAG filter. |

The CFF series gas mask STANAG filters are designed for the French armed forces and used mainly with the ARF-A gas mask. Some filters are being used in some branches of the Italian Army, the Italian Red Cross and the Portuguese army.
Confusion with GOST threaded masks
This filter is often falsely identified as having 'Normalised' threads -'Normalised' threads do not exist - and being able to fit in both GOST and NATO threaded masks, however this in incorrect, the filters do not fit properly fit in GOST masks, it's a myth. If one were to thread it into a GOST mask, it would damage the threads on the filter or mask whilst providing a 'pseudo' seal. The CFF filters are STANAG 4155 threaded filters and will not fit in GOST masks, and GOST version of the filter do not exist.
