Overview[]

The EO-19E filter is a Soviet CBRN cheek filter. It is used in the PBF gas mask, issued to the Soviet Union, East Germany aswell as the Egyptian National Police and CIS Police.

EO-19E filters are Oval shaped, covered in olive-green cloth and a plastic frame. It is slightly bend downwards for the inhale valve, to show out of the hole and fit sideways inside the PBF. The Markings are printed on the sides, sometimes even burnt into the plastic.

The filter utilizes tightly compressed material, which is mainly used for riots and protests.

Regarding the safety of this filter, it is highly likely to contain asbestos. While unofficial, a Reddit post has shown an individual verifying the presence of asbestos, using a blowtorch and a microscope.
