An early example, dated 1972

The ИПП-8 - Индивидуальный Противохимический Пакет (Individual Anti-Chemical Pack) was the standard issue decontamination kit of the Soviet Armed Forces (Вооружённые Силы СССР - ВС СССР). The IPP-8 was introduced circa 1970 and replaced the earlier IPP-51. The IPP-8 was carried in the external side pocket of the gas mask bag (RSh-4) or inside the gas mask bag (PMK-1).

The IPP-8 was also used by Civil Defense personnel, carried in the GP-5 bag external side pocket. In Civil Defense use, the IPP-8 was designated IPP-8A (ИПП-8А), however the IPP-8 & IPP-8A are identical other than name. Since the IPP-8/IPP-8A designation isn't on the packaging, the only way to tell is on the wooden storage crate they come in.
