POG Mining filters[]
POG (Pochłaniacz Ochronny Górniczy - Mining protection filter) are compact, one time use filters designed to protect against carbon monoxide, toxic gases found in mines (sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide) and particulate matter (i. e. coal dust).
POG-8[]
POG-8 consists of a double wall sheet metal canister with metal straps holding the lid shut and a carrying belt.
To unlock the lid one should pull the rubberized fabric handle and pull it away. After that the filter can be taken out of the canister, mounted on the user's head with a harness, the mouth piece inserted into a mouth and the nose clips put on the nose.
