The mask's construction is very simple. It is sewn form a rubberized fabric, features a 7 point elasticated spring fabric head harness, triplex lenses and a 40mm DIN threaded metal valve assembly. This valve assembly is equipped with a "flapper/flutter" type exhale valve.

Filter[]

The Gāzmaska B is issued together with a VEF produced 40mm DIN threaded cylindrical metal filter.

Bag[]

The mask is stored in a simple canvas bag.

External information[]

The rubber faceblanks would be produced by Latvian Kvadrats or Meteors rubber factories. These faceblanks would then be sent off to VEF (Latvian: Valst-Elektrotechniskā Fabrika; English: State-Electrical Factory) in Riga to be fully assembled with lenses, straps and valve assemblies.
