The German Lederschutzmaske (leather protection mask) was introduced in 1917 to combat chemical weapons used by both sides in WW1. It replaced the GM-15 mask.

Overview Edit

The mask is made of tanned sheepskin (due to rubber shortage) and is dipped in an oil sealant and has a grey filter (which contains asbestos). The celluloid lenses have a strange inner frame. It has a 6 point head harness.
