The Titán 162 is a civilian mask produced from 1937 to 1945. The mask seems to be heavily inspired by multiple other masks from said period, especially the Auer and Degea 700 series masks

Mask overview[]

The mask is made out of two layers of fabric sewn together, with a peripheral seal made out of smooth leather being present. All of the sewings and edges were coated in rubber. It featured a 7-point head harness made out of brown elastic, connecting to a rear headpad. The headstrap adjustment was also on the headpad. The bottommost strap had both sides detachable (D ring on the strap, hook on the facepiece) so that it'd be easier to put the mask on. It also had a brown neckstrap, sewn in just under the bottom hooks. The intake valve was on the front, whilst the exhale valve was on the left cheek. The mask, just like every single Czechoslovak mask from this period, takes 42mm filters. The eyepiece rims were made out of metal, then pressed into the facepiece, whilst the eyepieces themselves were made out of celluloid.

Kit[]

It has not been completely proven what carrier the mask was sold with, however, it was most likely the same carrier as the Titan 161. It was sold with the Titán 31 filter.

There was also a 2nd kit, in which the mask came with a cloth haversack carried on one's chest, a hose covered with stockenite, and the Titán 32 filter. In this configuration, the mask wouldn't sport an exhale valve, as one would be housed in the assembly connecting the hose to the mask (much like an Auer 770 hose).
