The Horák-Titán 163 is a civilian mask produced from 1937 to 1945. It was basically an upgraded version of the Horák-Titán 162 with a dedicated intake and exhale valve, and a brand new valve assembly.

General overview[]

The facepiece is made out of two-layered rubberized canvas, with a peripheral seal, the size of which was marked with a number on the forehead (1=largest, 3=smallest). It featured a 7 point harness made out of brown elastic connecting to a headpad. The adjustment took place on the headpad. It also featured a neck strap made out of brown fabric, connected to the bottommost strap point. The eyepieces were made out of celluloid and held in by pressed metal rims. The valve assembly is very similar to the one on the ARS, however the presence of tissot tubes is down to speculation, since to this date, there are no confirmed examples or blueprints.
