The M/30 was the first Norwegian gas mask.

The facepiece is made of rubberized fabric with two eyepieces.

It used a small metallic filter with 40mm thread.

The Norwegian army bought and tested several masks from Germany and USA. In 1929 the military decided to buy a license and machines for the Auer Vollmaske 747, which costed 30.000 Norwegian Kroner.
