The M/39 was one of the many Viking Askim masks. The mask was a successor to the inferior M/34 and had several improvements, like the change from rubberized canvas to pure rubber.
Mask overview[]
Unlike other masks made by Viking it is not made of rubberised canvas but only of rubber. The valve housing is the same as on the M/34 and the strap connections are very similar what can be seen on the Czechoslovak FM-3 masks.
