The MOF filters were Czechoslovak gas mask filters that were issued with most CM-4 kits and to other masks.
Overview[]
The filter came supplied in a protective wrapping of grease-proof paper and an additional protective sleeve made from stapled cardboard.
As an essential utility component part of the DK-62, DK-88, DM-1, CO-1/R, CM-3/3h, CM-3, CM-4, and CM-5 individual protection equipment these filter canisters provide respiratory protection against consequences of chemical warfare agents, toxic substances, radioactive particles, and biological warfare agents.
All that were made before 1986 contain asbestos in the particulate layer.
Substances[]
Each filter canister consists of an aluminium alloy casing which contains a filtration part ( filter-paper) and a sorption part (activated carbon absorbent). Each filter canister is equipped with a polyethylene seal and cover lid.
