The S.I.P. 4 is a panoramic industrial mask that sports a hood for acid protection.

Mask overview[]

The mask is composed of the following:

  • A cellulose panoramic visor with a rubber peripheral seal
  • An impermeable hood
  • A 5-straps harness
  • An inlet-outlet piece at the front

The hood is made of rubberized cloth. It has an aperture in the front in which the visor is affixed in such a way as to not impede it from sealing. The hood covers the head completely, and it would get tucked under the jacket for extra protection. The sewings between the parts of the hood have joint covers.

The 5-straps harness is attached externally and independently from the hood. The top strap is not elastic, the other 4 are; the bottom 2 straps sport a hook system to ease donning.

The inlet-outlet piece sported an exhale valve in a housing in the front, which could be opened and inspected. The inlet valve was placed over the thread, which could be either 30mm or 40mm.

Kit[]

The S.I.P. 4 was sold alongside a metal case, a spare exhale valve and a stick of anti-fogging soap.
