The ShM-2012 (Russian: Шлем Маска - "Helmet Mask") is a modern industrial mask based on the ShM-41 and ShM-66mu (PMG-2) but features parts from many other masks.

Overview[]

The ShMP-2012 facepiece (ШМП-2012) is made out of black rubber and while the model is a bit similar to the ShM-66mu (PMG-2) it has a handful of noticeable changes. For instance, the mask possesses a voice diaphragm similar to that found on the PMK-2, just under the triangular eye lenses which are the same as on the PMK-2. On either side of the mask there are small circles where the rubber is thinner to provide clearer hearing. The first version of the mask was produced with the valve assembly of the PPM-88 but it turned out that it can't be connected to the mask enough safe. The second version of the mask, features a simple inlet valve and exhale valve, the same as on the ShM-62 (GP-5). The third version of the mask features a newer design of the valve assembly. The PRV-BE seems to be based on this mask.
