The DD was a children's mask manufactured by Techna between 1937 and 1945.
Overview[]
The mask is very akin to the FM-4, because the FM-4s are just licensed Techna DDs sold by Fatra. Fatra and Techna masks can be distinguished by the marking on the chin, and by the stamp in the ring on the left cheek. The facepiece was made of grey or green rubber, which, on the later model, was textured externally. The eyepieces were made of triplex glass, held on by a black metal ring. It featured a 6 point harness similar to the one on the FM-3. There is an exhale valve of sorts, located in the bottom of the valve assembly.
Kit[]
The masks were sold with the Techna S/TF2 filter, a grey, stockenite-covered hose, and a brown canvas carrier. The price for a kit was 135 kc when new.
