The Swedish Folkgasmask Gullmaren Typ 32 is similar in design to the British General Civilian Respirator, but has two round eyepieces instead of one.
Overview[]
The gas mask has a very simple and cheap design and the filter is attached to the mask and cannot be removed. The mask has a three-point head harness. The gas mask comes in a yellow paper can with metal lid. This mask does not include an exhale valve of any kind, only a simple rubber intake valve cover inside of the facepiece. The mask came in two colours, gray and black, but the black one is rarer. It came in 4 sizes, 1 being the largest and 4 being the smallest for children. the children's version of this gas mask was made of pink rubber with a filter painted dark blue, only size 4 had an exhalation valve. this gas mask was issued to civilians during the Cold War, though it was never needed.
